- Must be approved for wage subsidy funding before start date of placement

Module 1 – Change Makers
Group Pre-Employability Skills Development maximum of 10-week workshop for participants who are first time job seekers or with minimal or no work related skills and needing suitable paid work experience with an employer up to 16 weeks. Activities will help youth become aware of their present skills, marketable skills, skills enhancement, presentation of job opportunities, career options, value of continuous learning and education and positive attitude in workplace. The number of weeks of workshop sessions and work experience will vary depending on the participants’ readiness and needs which will be determined during the skills assessment workshop performance and case management progress and status.
Module 2 – Career Goal Getter (101)
One-on-one advanced employability skills enhancement for youth with barriers with good educational background, related experience, may have already attended job preparation workshop from other service providers but are still unemployed and will benefit from gaining the 20-week paid work experience with an employer. This personalized assistance will cover one-on-one career coaching, strategic and innovative approaches in overcoming employment barriers to better prepare youth in entering/re-entering the workplace and assistance to successful long term job retention. The number of weeks of one-on-one sessions and work experience will vary depending on the participants’ readiness and needs which will be determined during the assessment, one-on-one sessions, case management progress and status.
Career Trailblazer is Career Pathfinders Program’s progress monitoring system and activities such as individualized assistance, career management; continuous monitoring and support to participants who completed Module 1 or 2 or both with the full participation and commitment to secure long-term employment and openness to follow-up support and assistance. Activities will include proper interventions and support to employers and program participants who needed additional interventions such as but not limited to professional certifications and licensing process, workplace training as required by employers.
Participants must actively participate in the mentoring and monitoring activities and openness with a positive attitude in developing interpersonal and relationship-building skills, “soft” skills that are good foundation of workplace interactions.
Coaching and mentorship are provided in exploring other career options as participants opt to have a career change or pursue a different career path.
All professional services will be delivered in a scent free Career Centre with compliance to COVID-19 Workplace Health and Safety guidelines and protocol issued by Manitoba Health such as observing physical distancing, wearing mask and hand washing and regular use of hand sanitizer.
